Early 20th Century French DF Blouse

Antique blouse from France, circa 1900-1920s.

Perhaps tailored for sisters, this is one of a pair of blouses with different designs, sourced from the same supplier.

Crisp, white cotton fabric with a firm texture.

The right hem features a monogram embroidery of "DF".

Scalloped embroidery, resembling leaves, is applied to the placket, collar, and cuffs, creating a distinct shadow.

The cuffs fasten with a single shell button, a design that embodies the refined beauty of practical clothing from that era.

Featuring fine machine stitching, neat seam finishes, and a hand-sewn hem.

This is not mass-produced, and the quality of the tailoring is evident.

Hand-washed.
